THE LEGAL DEPARTMENT
Legal Document, Mediation, & Notary Services

Your Neighborhood Legal Document Assistant and Notary
Court forms and requirements can be confusing. Our goal is to help alleviate the stress by preparing your paperwork and providing attorney-written or court website information that will help you achieve your goal.

We started this business because we saw a need. People struggled preparing their own legal documents but could not justify the cost of hiring an attorney. Everyone needs access to affordable legal help, and that is what we provide. If you know what you need, we can complete your forms, prepare documents, file them at the court, and arrange for service if necessary.

We can also help you mediate an Agreement that might keep you from having to go to court. We serve all of Southern California, and are available evenings and weekends for your convenience. We are by appointment and can come to you.
We are not attorneys, and can only provide self-help services at your specific direction.

Our Services
- Divorce (Summary Dissolution and Dissolution of Marriage)
- Child Custody (Request for Order and Paternity)
- Mediation (Divorce and Child Custody)
- Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, and Healthcare Directives
- Mobile Notary
We keep it simple. Give us a call, send us a message, and we will help you through the preparation and process.

Let us do the work for you!
Our Bio's

Deanna L. Wilson: Legal Document Assistant and Mediator
Working for over 25 years as a paralegal, Deanna saw a deficit in affordable legal services. After leaving a law office she loved, she was encouraged by her former boss to work in preparing family law forms and mediating. The Legal Department was started in 2013 to not only fill in the legal services deficit, but also to make a difference. We are a family business and we take care of our community.

Danielle Cano-Wilson: Legal Assistant and Notary Public
After finishing her college degree in Colorado, Danielle returned home to California and obtained her Notary Commission and Legal Assistant Certificate to help people in her community. She also volunteers as a notary through local non-profit organizations, and believes that giving back to her community is the best kind of business.

Trudy Wilson: Marketing and Community Relations
Working in the non-profit sector for most of her career, Trudy came on board to help her daughter and granddaughter bring quality and affordable legal assistance to her community. An active member of the Harbor Mesa Lions Club, she shares her skills bringing not only legal assistance but also a community minded emphasis in the work done by this office.

Our Family Business
Not everyone needs or can afford an attorney. Confusion in the legal process and finances should not be a reason to stay in a unhappy marriage or put off planning for ways to take care of your family if anything happens to you.
The Legal Department offers discounts and payment plans to meet the needs of all our customers. If you need to start your Divorce or Request for Order, we take an initial payment to get started, and the balance to be paid when you are ready to file your documents.
If you need to create a Trust, or want to make a Will with Power of Attorney and Healthcare Directive, we also take payments to get started. The balance is due when you finalize your documents.
Helping our community is our mission. We prepare family law Fee Waiver forms for free, and all forms related to Domestic Violence are free. If you or someone you know is in need, call us right away. We went to help and want to work for you.
